| Rotary Club of Hailsham Raise £500 In Hike 4 Hospices South Downs Walk |
| As part of the ‘Team Fantastic’ a team from Hailsham Rotary Club walked 8 miles on the South Downs Way on Saturday 22nd August, in memory of Robert Chambers - ‘Wobbly Bob’, of the Brighton rock band – ‘Daddy Fantastic’. The team members on the “Hike 4 Hospices” walk were President of the Hailsham Rotary Club Francis Hodge who was accompanied by Brian Cruddas and Keith Mullen. Other team members included Josephine Dolan, Robert’s sister and Mary Hodge, his aunt and wife of the Hailsham Rotary Club President. Robert Chambers died of cancer at the age of 42 in the Martlets Hospice, Brighton, in December 2008. He was Francis Hodge’s nephew, and also an accomplished graphic artist for graphic novellas, two of his illustrations are on the banner shown in the photograph attached.
