Hailsham Rotary Club Three Counties Charity Motor Cycle Run 2009

Hailsham Rotary held its third “Three Counties” Charity Motor Cycle Run on Sunday 4th October 2009 in glorious sunshine. The run started at Shaw’s Harley Davidson motor cycle premises on the A22 at Whitesmith and took the 61 participants through the beautiful Sussex, Kent and Surrey countryside. The route took the participants for 30 miles on the shorter course and 70 miles on the longer course.

The event included tea/coffee, a route card, souvenir badge and programme of the event together with a hot lunch. Breakdowns were supported by back-up vehicles and trailers to recover machines.

In presenting the trophies to the winning participants Francis Hodge, the President of Hailsham Rotary Club said “This was our third year of the Three Counties Charity Motor Cycle Run and the weather could not have been kinder to us. All the participants thoroughly enjoyed the day and they are looking forward to next year when the event will take a different route and raise more money for our benevolent fund”.
